We held another meeting last night and it looks like we're going to be "very close" to the amount of money needed to fund this year's parade. People can only afford to give so much, and the number of people who are volunteering to do our fundraisers keeps getting smaller. I guess the good news here, is that YES, there will be the big Flag Day celebration in Hudson June 8th. Now, all that's left is the cooperation of Mother Nature.

Bill got his very first taste of radio by starting a station at Hudson High school. After a two year stop at Herkimer County Community college, Bill landed his first job doing weekends at WTLB in Utica. It was then on to WPTR in Albany and WDOT in Burlington. In 1978 Bill came home to Hudson. For 10 years he'd work at WHUC and WRVW. Then it was off to WBPM and WGHQ in Kingston. Then, back to Catskill in 1990 as WQKZ hit the airwaves at 98.5 (Later to become The Cat). In 1993 Albany came calling again and it was off to Oldies 99.5. After a year doing traffic reports for Albany radio and TV Bill came back to Hudson and has been on Oldies 93.5 since January 2002.

Geese And Stuff
Since all this happened during our contesting period, I did not get a chance to talk about it. Where I walk my dogs, the Canadian geese come to nest. We have 14 babies this year, divided into 4 families. Boy, the geese grow up really fast. They've tripled in size in just 2 weeks..still fuzzy though. Well, yesterday in addition to the geest I spotted a large turtle making it's way down the road to the pond. And yes, I pretty much stood guard until it was safely in the water. My life, protecting the animals.
